Mumbai, May, 24 (EPC News): The ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation sanctioned 11 from a total of 16 project proposals received under the Basic Services to the Urban Poor (BSUP). The submission service a component of the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM), approved these project worth Rs370.67 crore comprising Central Share of Rs. 251.59 crore.
The projects will be executed in 3 cities namely, Jamshedpur, Dhanbad and Ranchi in Jharkhand. The ministry further gave approvals for 10 project proposals under the Integrated Housing and Slum Development Programme (IHSDP) component of JNNURM. Total cost of these IHSDP projects are valued at Rs. 217.93 crore comprising Central Share of Rs. 131.33 crore. The ministry had earlier received three project proposals during 2010-11 for executing projects at Chatra, Saraikela and Mihijam cities.
