Mumbai, July, 13 (EPC News): UK-based hospitality firm, Whitbread plans to shed an investment of 75 million pounds (over Rs 535 crore) in India by 2020 to raise funds for its hotel business in India. “Whitbread has earmarked an investment of 75 million pounds for the next ten years with a plan to operate over 80 properties in India,” says Premier Inn India Pvt Ltd Director (Brand and Operations) Shwetank Singh.The company has already invested over Rs115 crore on two hotel properties in Bangalore and Delhi. Further the company also plans to invest on its properties at Mumbai, Goa, Chennai and Pune. However, the projects are likely to be operational only after 2013.
