Mumbai, July, 21 (EPC News): NHPC Ltd, the state-run power major inked an agreement with the Orissa government to set up three power plants in the state. The plants will be built through a joint venture with the state-run Hydro Power Corp Ltd, with an investment of about Rs26 billion ($585 million). NHPC will have a 51 per cent stake in the joint venture with Orissa state-run Hydro Power Corp Ltd. The plants are anticipated to have an annual energy generation capacity of 1,090 million units with an installed capacity of 320 MW.
