Mumbai, May, 26 (EPC News): Wipro's infrastructure engineering division joined hands with aerospace giant EADS' subsidiary. Through the recent tie-up both the companies aims to manufacture components for the aerospace and defence sector.
As per the agreement, EADS' Spanish subsidiary, Compania Espanola De Sistemas Aeronauticos (CESA), will transfer a part of its technology and its manufacturing workload - for aerospace actuators and precision parts to Wipro Infrastructure Engineering (WIN). Wipro will start manufacturing for CESA initially and then start sup-plying to other players, both in India and globally. CESA will get a fee for the technology transfer as well as cost competitive manufacturing. This will also be an opportunity for CESA to explore the Indian market.
