Mumbai, June, 24 (EPC News): Larsen & Toubro acquired orders worth Rs1,610 crore from Tata Steel, Indiabulls Power and other customers for its first quarter (April-June). The company’s metallurgical and materials handling company will be executing these operations. Major portion of the work order is focused on meeting the demands of Tata Steel’s Kalinga Nagar project in Orissa.
L&T also plans to construct the first coke oven battery at the plant within 2.5 years and has also received various orders for steel melt shop construction from Tata Steel. Indiabulls Power also awarded a Rs240 crore order from Indiabulls Power for civil and construction works for coal and ash handling plants for its thermal power projects, located at Amravati and Nasik in Maharashtra. The project is estimated to be complete within 23 months.
