Mumbai, June, 18 (EPC News): NTPC’s two more coal blocks were revoked by the coal ministry due to the failure in developing them within the stipulated time frame. Licenses for the two mining blocks, Brahimini in Jharkhand and Chichro Patsimal in Orissa possessing coal reserves of 2,256 million tonnes was allotted in 2006. The ministry had also issued orders to revoke licences for five blocks of NTPC, Damodar Valley Corp and Jharkhand State Electricity Board with combined reserves of 1,000 million tonnes.
