Mumbai, July, 19 (EPC News): State run power major, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has commissioned a 525 Mw thermal set for the Maithon Right Bank thermal power project in Jharkhand. The 2x525 Mw greenfield power project is executed by Maithon Power (MPL), a joint venture between Tata Power and Damodar Valley Corporation. The company further acquired an order for 1,050 MW project. The power equipment maker is further in the process of augmenting its capacity to 20,000 MW per year from existing 15,000 MW per annum.
