Mumbai, Sep, 24 (EPC News): IGBC (Indian Green Building Council) with its standard guidelines on green and sustainable measures, pre-certified Eco Eden City as one of the first ‘platinum’ rated township.
Eco Eden City (ECC), an affordable township in Boisar, did extensive research and planning towards effective master planning, energy, water & waste management. Having done proper planning of building orientation, shadow analysis, sunlight pattern simulation, wind analysis etc at the design stage, ECC came up with its modern amenities like solar energy, ACC blocks and trees surrounding residency premises.
Explaining the group’s philosophy, Prashant Khandelwal, COO, Mayuresh Group says, “The group has been a pioneer in incorporating sustainable measures in their projects. We understand the needs of the affordable segment customers and offer tailor made solutions to suit their needs. Our passion for the environment and our strength in delivering homes for the lower and middle income group combined to become Eco Eden City.”
Recycling of grey water, rain water harvesting, storm water management and injected borewells, waste segregation at source along with colour coded bin and vermin-compost pits are some measures taken to make the township self-sufficient for its water needs.
All these measures led EEC to become a township that achieved platinum rating without making a hole in the customer’s pocket.
