New Delhi, Feb (EPC News): The Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DONER) has sanctioned funds worth Rs69.92 crores for development of road network in Arunachal Pradesh, said the ministry in its release.

In the current financial year, about Rs492.36 crores have been sanctioned for development of road in the eight states of Assam, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Sikkim and Tripura. The Ministry has also given in-principle approval for sanction of Rs48.5 crore to build additional road projects in Arunachal Pradesh.

The projects were recommended by the NLCPR Committee during its 91st meeting held in New Delhi last week. The DoNER Ministry has sanctioned projects worth Rs196.7 crore for development of roads in Arunachal Pradesh during the current financial year (2010-11).
