Mumbai, May, 2, (EPC News): Cummins India, an engine manufacturing company aims on investing up to Rs500 crore on various expansion and developmental projects including setting up of generator plant at its Phaltan production site.
The plant expected to be operational by the following year is estimated to have a production capacity of 40,000 units per year. An investment of Rs80-100 crore is expected to be shed by Cummins India on the setting up the said plant.
The company established three plants earlier this year at Phaltan located in Maharashtra's Satara district. Further, Cummins India also aims at doubling its production capacity of 6.0 litre and 7.0 litre engines from 60,000 units by April 2012.
