MAN Ind bags Rs 950-cr order from Kuwait

Mumbai, Mar (EPC News): Pipe manufacturer MAN Industries (India) has bagged a Rs950 crore order from Kuwait for the supply of 1,70,000 tonnes of large diameter pipes in both LSAW as well as HSAW segments. The order is scheduled for execution this fiscal.

J. C. Mansukhani, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, MAN Industries, said the company is bidding for projects worth $1 billion, both in the international and domestic markets.

Mansukhani said that with the addition of a third HSAW production line at Anjar, Gujarat, the manufacturing capacity had gone up to one million tonnes, divided equally between HSAW and LSAW. The Anjar project could produce pipes up to 30 mm thickness in X-70 grade steel.

With the latest order, the order book stands at Rs2,000 crore.
