GVK bags 690 MW hydel project in J&K

Hyderabad, Mar (EPC News): GVK Power and Infrastructure Ltd has won the competitive bid to develop the 690 mw Rattle Hydro Electric Power project in Jammu and Kashmir, the company said in its statement.

GVK has been allotted the project on a build, own, operate and transfer (BOOT) basis for a period of 35 years.

The project is located on the Chenab river and will require an investment of about Rs5000 crore. The project will be commissioned by 2017.
