Elecon Engg bags Rs29 cr contracts

Elecon Engineering Company Ltd, leading manufacturer of material handling equipment, industrial gears and transmission products, has bagged orders worth Rs29 crore from Tecpro Systems Ltd, Chennai, and Bagheran Cement Co, Iran.

The company said here today that an order worth Rs19 crore has been received from Tecpro Systems Ltd for the supply of unidirectional bucket wheel type stacker-cum-reclaimer.

Another order worth Rs 4.17 crore from the same company was for the supply of drive gear boxes, input and output couplings, roller screens and mandatory spares.

Besides these, Elecon has also received an order worth Rs5.89 crore from Bagheran Cement Company, Iran, for the supply of non-slewing stacker, bridge type scraper reclaimer, gear boxes, coupling and PBL-make motors.

Prayasvin Patel, Chairman and Managing Director, Elecon Engineering, said the buoyant economy, high technology products, backed by marketing efforts of the company in the domestic and international markets helped the company procure the orders.
