Mumbai, Oct (EPC News): Areva T&D India has bagged Rs900 crore EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contract by the Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Ltd (MSETCL) for turnkey design and construction of 36 sub-stations with 132 kV and 220 kV configurations.
The scope of the agreement includes a total of 36 substations to be provided at various locations across the state of Maharashtra over a period of three years. The company has already received orders for the first 18 substations worth Rs360 crore.
Over the period of the agreement, the company will assist MSETCL to significantly upgrade the transmission and distribution network.
Areva will deliver this project in consortium with Jyoti Structures Ltd, whose scope covers transmission lines worth Rs 833 crore.
