Mumbai, July (EPC News): Binani Cement has announced its first quarter results.
ts net sales were up 61% at Rs 524 crore versus Rs 326 crore. Its net profit was up 100% at Rs 107 crore versus Rs 53.3 crore.
Q1 Highlights: |

-OPM at 32% versus 29%
-Higher sales volumes, price realisation; reduced fuel costs
-2nd phase of 2x22.3 MW power plant started generation from Jun'09; trial runs on currently
-Installation of one additional grinding, packaging plant at Binanigram to be completed by 2009-end
-To increase capacity from 6 mtpa to 6.25 mtpa
-Nod for mines for proposed greenfield programme in Gujarat (2.5 million tonnes) awaited
-Land acquisition, development in progress for lignite project at Nimbri Chandawatan, Rajasthan at project cost Rs 100 crore; production from mines by Q3'2010.
