Mumbai, Apr (EPC News): Mumbai International Airport, one of the busiest and privately operated airports in India will have a sigh of relief for its ever growing concern of traffic decongestion, not air traffic though, from western express highway to Sahar Airport. |

Mumbai Metro Regional Development Authority (MMRDA) will be converting present four-lanes of western express highway to six lanes - till Sahar Airport. The move will decongest ever growing traffic problem in this particular region, since the footfall towards Mumbai International Airport has increased rapidly.
"Since Mumbai got the only international airport, traffic congestion is more in this region," said R K Jain, President Mumbai International Airport. He was speaking on the sideline of Aerodrome Exhibition held in Mumbai.
"The cost of the project will be Rs132 crore approximately," he said. But Jain was reluctant to divulge any further detail about the project.
