New Delhi, Dec (EPC News): The Airline operators had expressed their concerns about the new Ground Handling Policy, says Praful Patel, the Minister of Civil Aviation. Regarding the new ground handling policy, the Minister said that for the metropolitan airports i.e. Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore and Hyderabad, some provisons were made. This includes the respective airport operator itself or its joint venture partner. Air India and its subsidiaries/joint venture companies specialized in ground handling services. Third party handling will also be permitted to these subsidiaries. Any other ground handling service providers selected through competitive bidding process by the airport operator.
