Nepal Airlines signs deal for two Airbus aircraft

Mumbai, Nov (EPC News): Nepal Airlines Corporation has signed a deal to buy two Airbus aircraft, one A330-200 wide-body plane and one A320 single aisle jet.

The new Airbus aircraft, which are valued at about $250 million, will be deployed on international services to Japan and will for the very first time connect Nepal to Europe with direct flights. The new planes are scheduled for delivery in 2011 and will play a key role in developing Nepal's tourism industry, especially in light of the country's 'Visit Nepal 2011' tourism campaign to attract foreign tourists, the carrier said.
