Gangtok, June (EPC News): The Sikkim Government has decided to enhance its helicopter services as part of its connective infrastructural development programmes.
As part of these measures, the Government has decided to upgrade the Gangtok-Bagdogra helicopter services with a 15-seater chopper from the present five-seater chopper.
Heli-services will also be extended in all the four districts of the State on requirement and demand basis. At the moment, the helicopter service is only one air service connecting the State with the rest of the country. With the launch of the 15-seater service, it is expected to give a big boost to the local tourism sector.
